Tasting Notes
It presents a citrus color with golden tints, and aromas of plums and other yellow fleshed fruits, complexed with flint notes. On the intense palate, the live acidity is well matched to the creaminess and the great volume of this wine, which finishes long.
Food Suggestions
Perfect match with dishes like eggs benedict or even a steak béarnaise. Fine rich fish such as turbot, grilled veal chops with mushrooms, Late summer vegetables such as red peppers, corn, butternut squash and pumpkin. Cheddar cheese. You can even drink a rich Chardonnay with seared foie gras (and indeed many prefer it to Sauternes at the start of a meal).
