History

With a long history dating back to the century XVII, and being owned by the Marquis of Pombal, Quinta do Gradil remained in possession of this family with a strong wine tradition until the mid-twentieth century. Located in one of the best terroirs of Lisbon region, with more than 100 hectares of vineyards, Quinta do Gradil holds high quality wines, reflecting strong experience combined with high technology.

Petit Verdot

Winemaking

Grapes were harvested manually from the best plots at Quinta do Gradil and were totally at the winery. This wine was vinified in small steel stainless vats at 26ºC with previous slight cold skin maceration. After malolactic fermentation, the wine aged in bottle during 3 months.

Tasting Note

Here the Petit Verdotrises mineral aromas, with notes of Chinese ink, mint and peat, which combined with its excellent tannin structure, provides a typical feature of this variety.
